Bendito Machine

Another awesome little film everybody should see.

Strip Mining For Whimsy...I Love This Shit

Stumbled upon another time wasting gem. I Saw a flash cartoon of failed proposed Star Wars toys. Well I looked into Gobler Toys and came across this website.

Señor Sandwich looks awesome don't you think?

Another toy The Arachna 500. The last toy ever created by Ira Gobler the company's founder and namesake.

I think my personal favorites though are the Whip-Its.

Ira Yamstake Gobler sounds like he was an interesting fellow. He led a full life until tragedy occurred. The Gobler Toy Company premiered "Gobler's Wobblers" at the 1939 Toy Fair in New York City and it was an instant hit.

Rumor has it in the early 40's, after The Gobler Toy Company tanked due to Ira's failed toe surgery, Ira disappeared in the Dominican Republic but he reappeared as the character 'Grand Moth Tarkin' in Star Wars. It was during the shooting that Ira Yamstake Gobler met his maker.

Does anyone else have any really annoying housemates?

This is my man Mylo. He is such a bad ass cat. About three weeks ago my housemate Kevin's dog had a little taste of him and it is now finally starting to heal.

I am really glad I found a new place to live.

Pretty nasty looking huh?

Do not enter this area without consuming J23

Take four red capsules, in ten minutes take two more. Help is on the way.

Thank you Justin For filling my need for the pills. Now I really wish I had the matching I-84 pill. Oh well.

Here is the pill cleaned up and re-colored. "I'LL MIZ YOU", how sweet.

In terms of creativity, I'd give this game eight out of 10

Searching for more of the graffiti style dudes I am growing to like. Found a cool little film titled "Humans" by Three Legged Legs. Click on the image below to watch it. It is kinda a bummer but the art is cool.

Oh yeah, the winged pill on the Banfield is no more. I never did get a good photo of it and now I am sad.

Kids against candy!

With lead-tainted candy from Mexico still for sale in the Mission, health officials and educators – and even some candy-loving kids – are working to warn the community about its perils.

By Tali Woodward

Contaminated candy

"When we went to check on the markets that had been visited by the Flynn kids, we still spotted many of the candy brands that have fared poorly on lead tests."

"We even found suspicious candies like Pico Diana, Limon 7, and the chili-covered lollipop Mango Vero for sale at Safeway."

"The candies look innocent enough, and the primary culprits in lead poisoning continue to be contaminated paint and dust. But leaden candy is already causing local health problems. In 2004 city health workers (In the Mission, CA) linked four cases of lead poisoning directly to Mexican candy."

Hmmm?

Sweet Central American Treat or Suicide?

Tell your kids that when they are at the next fiesta de cumpleaños, when the piñata bursts, if this candy falls out...evítelo tienen gusto de la plaga.

Besides, it tastes nasty!

Thieves Follow Market Trends

Hey...awesome news. At 11:10 pm Wednesday, May 17th 2006, my car was stolen. It's not the first time mind you. I was typing up the post with the Nazi evaporated milk when I heard my car start and tear away, tires a squealin'. Man I love Portland!

According to NICB, the 10 most common stolen autos in the U.S. in order of popularity among thieves are:

1. Toyota Camry
2. Honda Accord
3. Honda Civic
4. Oldsmobile Cutlass/Supreme/Ciera
5. Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee
6. Chevrolet Full-Size C/K Pickup Truck
7. Toyota Corolla
8. Ford Taurus
9. Chevrolet Caprice
10. Ford F-150 Pickup Truck

For the rich creamy taste that only our long dairy heritage can bring

This can of milk has been sitting on a desk at work for a week or so now. As you can see it is a can of Gold Cross Evaporated Milk. I couldn't find much history on Gold Cross but I know it was owned by Carnation Brands until Carnation Brands was bought by the Nestlé Group in around 1984. I have no idea where this particular brand is sold but it isn't a regular item from Fred Meyer or Safeway.

I thought the label was striking and kinda familiar.

Las onomatopeyas o Batsigns

Well here is the mock up of what my idea to put the words of comic book punches and what not onto bath mats or area rugs will look like. The possibilities are endless and I think if you change the design just a little bit you would get around copyright laws. Now if I knew someone who could sew, weave or whatever it is that you do to make carpet or rugs to make the prototype. What do you think?
BLAMO!

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?

- Vince Lombardi

I won again tonight. It wasn't a shutout but it was a win. If it wasn't for Kip I would have been the only player on my team to win.

"These tables are the slabs they lay the stiffs on."

-Charlie Burns "The Hustler"

Pool league again tonight. I hope I can continue my little streak of shutouts. Shot against 'Boobliscious' last week. Shut her out in three games. I will remain an unranked four this week I think but after tonight I will climb to a five or six.

As a four I have to win three games against a threes two. As a five I would need to win four and so on. As a team of five players our ranking can not go above 23. Since I am a low rank still I will probably shoot again.

Scud: The Disposable Assassin

If you want to check out a cool comic I suggest Scud: The Disposable Assassin.

Rob Schrab was an improv comedien from Milwaukee in a group called The Dead Alewives before moving to California to try and break into the movie biz. They were most noted for there skit Dungeons and Dragons from a comedy sketch album called"Take Down The Grand Master" "[mp3 link skips] Watch it here as Summoner Geeks a nifty animation using real time video game people. Very Funny

Since moving to California he has done some pretty cool shit.

Short Films:
Robot Bastard

Music Videos:
Death Cab For Cutie - Crooked Teeth

Internet Serials:
Oppertunity Knockers
Twigger's Holiday

The failed television pilot Heat Vision and Jack that starred Jack Black and Owen Wilson and was directed by Ben Stiller. This is must see TV in my book. You will not be disappointed

Finally, the feature length film Monster House. I can not wait to see this.

HEY KIDS! THIS IS ADVERTIZING!

These guys are the shit!!!

After snaping the pictures for the fence I stoppe at The B & K supper club for a pop and grabbed a placemat on the way out that had these four things on them. Well they are The Honbatz. I am not exactly sure what the fuck they are other then advertizing icons for the Burger King corporation.

I took pictures of the black and white placemat, cleaned them up and colored them in photoshop. While doing that I got a little curious as to what they were so I went to honbatz.com and I am still not sure why they exist. The funny thing is I had them colored almost the same colors as on the web site. I got the shoes and tongues wrong. Otherwise I was close or dead nuts on. I think like a kid I guess.

Just a little something for a few giggles and a little wasted time.

Oh yeah, there are little ones called Eeeps that were not on the placemats but they look like the red one [Mixmax] but smaller with only one spike and a hell of a lot more teeth.

All the lights that lead us there are blinding

A Little photoshopping for your amazement. This is seven photos taken from different points on the street. I wanted to shoot the little creatures individually but had no idea of the scope of them. They were much larger than I remembered. Oh well, I got them all anyway. Tell me what you think.

I think this is my favorite element of the whole wall.
