Protecting the quality of your product, enhancing your brand's shelf appeal

Kinda appealing packaging I found at work while taking out the recycling.

pi-pump® with flexible pipette holding socket and special release valve. Many years of trouble-free use have made the pi-pump® one of the world's most popular pipetting aids.

Science fiction is the improbable made possible

Started tackling that Sci-Fi score that Kate made. First four down and it has definitely refreshed my appetite for Science Fiction. Thank you sweetie.

Rolls-Royce at the Elmer's in Clackamas.
Elmer's is like a Denny's or Shoney's type restaurant.

This one is from a Wendy's parking lot in Portland. What is up with the fancy car/crap food connection?

Uh, wouldn't Lil' Beep Beep be a better name for a car seat toy?

Happy clasp dude on a container at Goodwill

Torino? Torin-yes!

Cannibal Marshmallow!

These guys were only 20 feet away. Sorry for the rainy-car window-zoom shot:(

There are more to come. Phone is full and I need to sort them.

I'm gonna drive a big truck, I'm gonna rule this world

What do you suppose this person was thinking?

Billy: How many miles to the gallon?
Car Salesman: (Clears throat) Three.
Billy: Shoot, that's less than a Hummer! I'll take one!

This picture doesn't even scratch the surface of how obscene this truck is.

A little better perspective. Just towers over the car next to it at the stop light.

You will die of suffocation, in the icy cold of space

More awesome estate sale finds. This sale out in the Proebstel, WA area had 10 banquet tables full of VHS tapes and around 300 cassettes. Mostly classical, radio dramas and country music with a smattering of this and that. I pulled 15 cassettes at $.25 a piece. Here are 3 of them. Click on the The Saga of Battlestar Galactica or the The Odyssey Orchestra presents Galactic Hits cassette j-card for links to mp3's if you'd like.

It's never too late to be what you might have been.

On the way into work today.

Here is a screen capture of the weather today. Notice the 40.8° F temperature.

Now here is a picture I took on the morning commute. Notice the convertible top.

I was freezing inside my car with the heat on. People are silly.

No one can understand the truth until he drinks of coffee's frothy goodness

MTC2, you are missed.

Found this while digging through my locker at work today. I don't have many reminders from the Coffee Cellar days and this was a cool find. I also wish I knew where those stamps went.

When I die I’m going to leave my body to science fiction

My girlfriend gave me a couple Philip K. Dick pulp sci-fi paperbacks for Christmas this last year. This blow in card was in one of them.

I picked up a bunch more pulp sci-fi paperbacks at a thrift store recently and this blow-in card was in one of them.

I remember how stoked I was in the 80's pouring over the Science Fiction Book Club pamphlets. Of course the books weren't this cheap but they weren't that much more.

Anyway, I thought they were a neat little blast from the past.

Wine hath drowned more men than the sea

Let me continue the cassette find fun. This one is from an estate sale where I managed to grab a decorative cassette holder with 72 cassettes for $2.00. The cache was predominantly vintage Maxwell, TDK and BASF tapes with Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand and Neil Diamond recorded onto them. There was a few Broadway Musical, Mario Lanza and several more Niel, Barbara and Judy tapes as well.

My favorite tape in the lot however was this gem.
Thirty minutes of lapping waves, bells ringing and bird singing up above. And get this, side two repeats so you can feel like your floating in a bay somewhere on a continuous loop.
I love the inside of the cover. "How to use the music of the future". plus the cartoon of the "Future Music" maker recording the descending snowflake. Blows my mind.

Syntonic Research Inc.'s Environments 3 Wood-Masted Sailboat.

When you're ignorant, you get treated that way
