Work is either fun or drudgery. It depends on your attitude. I like fun.

~ Colleen C. Barrett

Some pictures I took at the new farm location my company moved to. It is not finished and we were to start operations on Tuesday. I really don't think we will be ready and anticipate even more overtime rushing around to get into production. The task at hand is a bit more than anyone of us could have imagined. A two month frenzy of moving out to the farm has nearly ended in three days of set up and we came close. It should be an exhausting week but I think I am up for a challenge.

The view of Mount Hood cannot be missed as you approach LNP via South Harris Road

Obscured by trees but still as breath taking Mount Hood from the back of Prod Two

The sun breaches the peak of Production One

A dump truck slumbers in the brisk morning sun.

A chain hangs still

Rust covered bolts await their next bumpy cruise

Giant bonds hold closed the gate holding the contents of the beast's belly

These pipes have spouted the dragon's fiery breath through the years charring it's metallic throat

W5 the last name in dump trucks

It was certainly a cold morning. I took quite a few shots of the icy puddles in the area surrounding the barns. I really like the details in the shiny gravel, leaves, curls of ice and mud

Fellas, I'm ready to get up and do my thing

R.I.P. Soul Brother Number One, Mr. Dynamite, The Hardest-Working Man in Show Business, Minister of The New New Super Heavy Funk, Mr. Please Please Please, The Boss, The Godfather of Soul

Legendary Singer James Brown Dead at 73. The Godfather of Soul passed at 1:45 a.m. this morning. He was in the Hospital for pneumonia but it is still uncertain what caused his death.

Strange, I was talking late on Sunday how I was gearing up to post an end of the year remembrance type entry covering people like Syd Barrett, Ian Copeland, Ali Farka Touré, Dewey Redman and Alex St. Clair, who had died in the year 2006. Now I can add another to my list.

Only the best commercial ever, gosh!

"Need A Good Doctor?" then you have to see this commercial for Trigon BlueCross BlueShield. This kid is classic.

Injured Bad

I am cleaning my monitor as I type this.

Oh My God. I have seen plenty of sites with hokey album covers before but this one collects some of the most unreal covers I have ever seen. Waste a little time there someday.

Every Cover Tells A Story

Is it possible that suddenly, without intending to...

A few things I need to share with you.

Check out this cool/weird/gruesome video for the song Alala by the band Cansei de Ser Sexy. I had never heard of them but they sound a bit like the band The Blow from right here in Portland.

That's right, you know what I want for Christmas.

Illegal dumping is often a crime of opportunity and occurs in remote locations

I hate to file dump but sometimes one has no choice. A photo dust up was in order. So here it is:
A Hodgepodge

Tuesday, December 5th 10:23 P.M.

Wednesday, December 6th 7:24 A.M.

I wish the moon shot had turned out better but without a tripod of some kind the length of exposure makes for a shaky picture. Even the sunrise the next morning is a bit blurry. Both of the pictures taken from my backyard and yes I was in my Pajamas both times.

The mailbox on the corner by my house. Ah, The Feast on the Beast tag, what crap. I do have a sticker and it looks good but this person should quit

Yeah a Nerd. Garage door on the corner of Killingsworth and N Missouri Av

More Dax art found at work

Quite large Dax-a-phone on cardboard

What is that claw-armed ninja doing?

Uh Sir, it's Catch a Tiger by it's Toe!

Lil' Half Dead! All bad. Stay in school asshole

Steaming hot cup at Haven

Hey guys. Look what Justin stumbled upon. One of my favorites, Dr Medz. This guys stuff is so cool. If I had half the talent I would be smiling all the time. Anyway check out his stuff at his myspace page.

His debut film Dr. Frankenmedz Daiting Service Inc. is also up at youtube.

Previously posted works here, here, here, here and here.

Habits are automatic behaviors that can be changed with patience and persistence

I figured while I was at it I would post a few more pieces of other people's art I have colorized. These are of course Nosmot's drawings. I have been sitting on the 'Hello' sketch for quite some time but the '2 Guy' is from the visit to Haven on Friday night. I wish I knew what he is thinking.

If you want to give JT a shout out and encourage him to draw more do so at Nosmot blog. Don't hate on me Nos-dawg.

Without exception, the new art is better

This is the artwork of a friend of mine. I have colored two of them because the photo's were not the best. I hope He doesn't mind. I have done it in the past so...Might be a bad habit of mine.

One of the many dudes.
A drumbstick or ham hock.

Lastly the self portrait he drew while in captivity a while back. I love it. Note the hand cuffs.

I can't wait to see more.
