“Those who live are those who fight.”

I see a little bit of you
I know it has been well over ten years now but I still catch a glimpse of you everywhere I go. The flash of smile from the girl at the bus stop I drive by. A joyful giggle in a crowd downtown. The sweet smell of freesia, nutmeg and pepper swooshing past, set adrift from the almond colored softness of a womans neck.
I can still taste you. Warmth, garlic, red wine...
I want rid of it but at the same time I am contented in these memories.
Thank you.

We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility
I love baseball.
I was thinking to myself tonight, how could I have booed Reggie Jackson. The man is/was a legend. The thing I realise most is he didn't need to shoot up. He loved hot rods but he did not need horsepower to hit home runs. He never hit more than 47 in any given year yet hit 563 lifetime. Yeah he had ego but he wasn't half as arrogant as Barry Bonds. Hell he even played with his dad Bobby.
What is wrong with baseball you ask...I am not sure. I booed Reggie when he played with the California Angels against the Brewers in 1982 but only because he was a rival.
Reggie, I am sorry.

Some people never go crazy, What truly horrible lives they must live
*Charles Bukowski
It is an early one this morning. I fell asleep right after work while listening to the radio and awoke at 5:00 am.
Well...I set out to find something at work that wasn't boring.
Just a few of the shots I took. The Coolpix is starting to get a little easier to use. I've done some testing with the settings and I guess I have a better understanding of what they do. Ambiguous icons suck!
I really like the colors of this valve. It looks like the workings of a submarine when you see the whole network of pipes and valves all brass, blue and red.
The shot of the pallets was inspired by JT. I have looked at them with disdain for some time and now kinda revel in 'em. I am sure my attitude will change, it is work for christ's sake.
I promised myself I would be adding to this here bloggie thing often and have not held up my end of the bargain. (sounds weird!?) I am going to make an effort to do so starting today.
So...I will see you later, and when I say you I mean all ya all!
