You have just destroyed one model XOJ-37 Nuclear Powered Pan-Sexual Roto-Plooker

Just a quick WTF? kind of internet weirdness moment, follow this.

Tonight while looking on portland.craigslist.org I came across a listing for a 1980 ARIA PRO II TS-600 THOR-SOUND GUITAR for $600. I was not completely sure what this guitar looks like so I did a Google image search, which yields something that looks like this.

After trying a few pictures that were dead links I picked the one at therathole.org.

Well low and behold therathole.org is no longer hosting this image and is now a bbc.co.uk web site for the Teletubbies or CBeebies which they are lovingly referred to in England I guess.

Well curiosity got the upper hand of me and I poked around looking for a good laugh at the expense of children's television producers. I pressed the Fun and Games button directly above the spinning pinwheel and one of the games is, and I kid you not.

Yes you read that right, The Noo-Noo's Sucky Slurpy Game. Well I pressed the space bar because I knew it couldn't get any better than this.

Wow, looks a little like I thought Sy Borg might look. Gimme dat, gimme dat, give me de chromium leg.

Books, accessories, insignia, fun patches, backpacks, pens, pencils, notebooks, and lots of stickers and fun things girls love.

Here are the other two things I found on my night walk Tuesday. I may have to go back in the daytime to get decent pictures of both stickers but for now these will do.

Another appearance of the sausage. I like this one although it looks as if somebody tried to scrape it off with a metal brush or something. This art also looks a lot like the pill previously posted here.

Another fish sticker as well. Both of these stickers were near the intersection of 39th and Lincoln.

If you had seen them with me, what would you have said?

Just a few flower pictures from a walk I took tonight.

You will be fortunate in the opportunities presented to you.

Let me catch you up on my Saturday.

This is a crate that was on my front porch when I went out to wait for Nosmot. Mr. Mango is a brand of mangos from the Ciruli Brothers. Apparently Mr mango is never called by his formal name. It is obvious they only refer to him by mango due to the fact that mango is in lower case letters.

Here is Mr. mango color enhanced by me. He is very reminiscent of A Mr. Banana as previously posted.

Here is one of the few shots of one of the fire dances that Kate did at the party. It was cool to see and my friends enjoyed it. Daisy also took the fire for a spin then vanished into thin air it seemed. Thank you Kate and Daisy for the entertainment and danger.

I found this sausage sticker on my bedroom door when I got home Sunday morning after the party. The fortune reads "You will be fortunate in the opportunities presented to you." I thought it was pretty cool and the funny thing is it paired well with my horoscope that day.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Some stress may enter the picture today, but don't let it get you down. Things continue to be predominately positive, so keep your focus on that. You can be especially forceful now and should channel your energy productively.

Rehearse, warm up, and create new musical ideas

I found one of my newest favorite recordings. Leif Inge took a piece of recorded classical music and stretched it 24 hours. I think that's genius. The resulting piece, 9 Beet Stretch, is a continuous 24 hour Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony. You can check out 9 Beet Stretch in streaming form here, download a 10 minute piece here or the whole shooting match in pieces here. It will also soon be available on DVD.

My Lord the fleet has moved out of light speed

As of this evening I now have word verification on Things of the Spirit because I am being bombarded with 8-10 spam comments a day now. Why, why must we be such capitalists? We have to ruin everything with ads for the dumbest crap. Sorry about the extra step and slight inconvenience.

The expression is priceless so watch and find out why!!!

Doomblake posted this to youtube and I raved about it for three days. I am now posting the link so you can see what it feels like to have soda fly out of your nose.

Successful people can be successful only when they love what they’re doing.

I remember struggling through a book that was so boring...oh wait, that's my current life!

Well after work tonight I am going to do something about it!

Be with us when we enter the dark shadows of death and pass into eternity

Justin kicked me down stencils Jessica made for the discs he is going to distribute at a show he is playing Saturday night.

Well what do you think?

I love them. I also kinda think they remind me of a few things.

Meh!?

The first one now will later be last for the times they are a-changin'

Found Art

A panorama of a garage on SE 50th. This does not show the grandness and cool detail of the piece. Perhaps I could get JT to host a full size version at Nosmot?

Train your mind forge? Looks as if it may have said forget. Lower SE Clinton

An imp choking a duck. I enjoy the imp stencil and find it funny that it is choking the hastily sprayed duck. "Bad graffiti!"

Not that our little imp stenciler only is up to devilish things, a very spiritual looking face. I also like the balloon sticker. Both of these are on the same little building on lower SE Clinton street.

Another red face. This time covering a cover-up. Possibly the same person who did the imp, duck and face on the other building. Retaining wall, lower SE Clinton.

This is the same wall I have posted two previous times. Lonely pallets and penis's. This time we have a Rock Steady stencil with, what is that, ah yes two terriers doin' the nasty. I think they are in love, it's the heart shape around them. By the way, JT and I saw one of these Rock Steady's the other day on a Nerd walk.

What do we have here. Same paint, a stencil, if I am not mistaken that is a Woke Up Falling stencil. Right next to the Rock Steady on the same wall. What could that mean?

I wish this face was cooler but it is in a cool place. That small retaining wall is on the west side of that rickety pedestrian bridge. SE Lafayette.

Mr. Sun is a mysterious figure, a blinding light. Do not look directly at Mr. Sun. Bask in him.

I just have random things to post but I hope you will enjoy them as I do.

This is a tree just down the street from me. I thought it looked like a hand because it has five large branches growing from the armlike main trunk. Unfortunately the picture I took that looked like the hand didn't turn out but this one did.

Alien eggs or tasty summer treat? I tend to think of them as the former but I don't like the smell, texture or taste so who am I to say.

Love the Hell out of this band's name. The music is cool on top of that. Check them out here.
Test Icicles myspace has music to download.

Lauren Axelrod takes the kinds of pictures I love to take also.

The Amazing Screw-On Head

"I am so excited I just made water in my pantaloons"
This is an awesome pilot the Sci-Fi channel is testing at their website. It is a comedy with some pretty amazing actors lending their voices to it.

Killer instinct, dirty, grinding, hard-nose hockey and guys willing to pay any price to win

The minor league hockey team in Milwaukee unveiled it's new logo for this year. The Admirals were an IHL team but now are an AHL team and an affiliate of the NHL's Nashville Predators. Anyway, here is an evolution of what the logo's look(ed) like.

Here is the logo they started using in 1977. Ain't he cute? Really puts the fear into you doesn't it?

Getting cooler I think. This is the logo they started using in 1995.

This is the logo they started to use in 1999. Looks a little less hokey and a little more hockey. Why did they drop the stick and where are those eyes?

And here it is. The new logo for your 2006/07 Milwaukee Admirals. The only thing that remains is the hat, you can now see his eyes (or where his eyes would be if he weren't a skull) and we have an added treat, the Never Say Die slogan. I do not like the logo but that slogan, Never Say Die, it sure does ring a bell. Where have I heard that line before? Oh yeah!

Or wait, was it here?

Here are my favorite reactions from the folks at brewerfan.net:

"Hahaha, that's great. it really screams 'minor league hockey."
Diskono

"The skull looks like something out of a Homestarrunner cartoon."
Point Beer Is Best

"That's weak. Might as well call them the Gold."
razzzorsharp

And my personal favorite,

"I don't get it. Why a skull? They're not the Milwaukee Weird Skeleton Pirate Thingies." DougJones43

Two mega-storms in a row ought to help concentrate the mind

John told me about the burned out Taylor Electric building Nerd's as I mentioned in the previous post and he was right. Here they are.

I know it is way back there but this is the best I could do. It is taken from the only place you can see it and it is a city block away after all. Anyway, click on the smaller image to see in detail.

A much clearer and closer Nerd. This one is painted on the wall seperating the two parts of the building you see in the first Nerd picture.

While I am at it I am going to post a few pictures of Nerds from dieselboi's flickr stream. These are Nerds I never or haven't visited yet.
~Click on dieselboi's avatar at left for his flickr sets~

Killingsworth I-5 soundwall
At least five Nerds all in a row. I never saw these. I guess I never got onto the freeway that far down seeing I could merge at the Going onramp. It leaves me excited to think there could have been more there. Seven? Nine? Fifteen?

33 North Wheeler
Very cool large Nerd. This is the first time I have seen a yellow one.

I am not sure where this one is other then Mississippi area. I love the black and yellow.

Thank you Brett for allowing me to post these on my blog. Everyone should check out Brett's other flickr graffiti sets here and here and also check out his WalkingPortland blog.

This kind of thing puts any little kerfuffle I experience into perspective

After work on Tuesday I convinced JT to shoot down to the remains of the Taylor Electric building because John told me about a Nerd or two that he saw on a walk this past weekend. We went for coffee at Mr. French's Coffee Kitchen then walked for about an hour or so. Afterwards it was decided that we would do a parallel blog post to see how we take pictures of the same object or setting from different perspectives. We both always worry about stealing the other's pictures so this is to prove that that would not be the case.

So look for the results at nosmot blog here, and tell us what you think.

Mr. French's Coffee Kitchen
107 SE Washington St, Portland, OR

Like I said, we started out at Mr. French's Coffee Kitchen. One of my very dear friends owns this cute island in the mad industrial south east. If you have not been there you should sneak away to it and drink the amazing shots pulled by Mitch himself, you will not be disappointed.

As we approached Taylor Electric from the northwest this would be on the south east corner of what is left of the block long building. I loved the bent window frames along with the blue sky.

Walked all the way around the building to the north side to get those pictures of the Nerds. It looks like the building is welcoming you with that open door to frolic with some ghosts inside.

This fire extinguisher looked so much cooler then this shot portrays. There is a cyclone fence all the way around the building so this is from about ten to twelve feet away. It is really too bad that photographs do not allow the tactile experience because I really would love to touch the extinguisher to see if it works. I can feel the heat from stored in it from the fire. I think it is in surprisingly great shape considering the total carnage that remains.

Just to show it wasn't all about distruction here is a little light humor. Johnny spotted a Muppet on a fireplug so we wandered over to it. I took this picture first by holding the camera upside down. I wish I would have been closer but it gave the gravity defying effect of the puppet giving praise. Looking at it this way makes the puppet look very much alive and happy.

Door 334. Again this was an experiment in perspectives and I look forward to the same images in a different light from ol' Nosmot.

I hope you will enjoy our little experiment
